This abstract ink series has been inspired by the total solar eclipses in Romania (August 1999) and the United States (August 2017). As a child in Romania, I was deeply impressed by this cosmic phenomenon. As an adult and artist, I have felt a stronger alignment with these celestial movements as I was witnessing a second total solar eclipse during my lifetime from underneath the fully bloomed mammoth sunflowers in my front yard. I felt transported to a different dimension. Through the creation of this series, I intended to depict those powerful feelings and help unique memories spring into one's mind.
